Whether you want to give rugby a try or you play already, there is a place for you in the Mini Merlins.
Rugby is a great game and players, young and old, can take a lot from it. Unfortunately it has become inaccessible to many due to the costs of club membership. We have been formed by a team of successful coaches from around Sussex who want to broaden access to the game and increase the numbers playing this fantastic sport.
We want the whole family to really enjoy themselves and will be organising trips and parents matches to create a sense of family fun.
1. To get kids into rugby who haven’t tried it already;
2. To develop existing players through the defensive skills and organisation needed in rugby league;
3. To provide kids as much rugby as cheaply as possible;
4. To do this on a non-partisan, Sussex-wide basis.
Our team of experienced, CRB-checked coaches aim to provide a fun environment in which to learn the basic skills of rugby and introduce kids to the concept of teamwork.
